Parents and Carers
At SNAPPY (Special Needs Activities and Play Provision for York) the emphasis is on good quality play within a safe and secure environment. Our staff and volunteers all go through an application and interview process that entails completing a CRB before working with any of the children or young people. All staff are trained in relevant areas that include first aid and manual handling. Our volunteers also have the opportunity to receive full training throughout their time at SNAPPY.
Thanks to our committed group of volunteers we are able to provide a 1:1 ratio for each child and young person if required.
We have an open door policy and welcome parents and carers at any time, we also encourage as much involvement from parents and carers as possible if you would like to come in for a chat, a cup of tea or even help with fundraising ideas.
How can my child access SNAPPY?
. You can ring the SNAPPY office on 01904 640 562
. You can email SNAPPY, snappyoffice@btconnect.com
. Or you can drop into the office
You will then be given information about schemes that will suit your child and a profile for you to complete (profiles are kept confidential).
We will then arrange a visit for you and your child, if your child is happy at SNAPPY they will be added to the database and you're away!
