S.N.A.P.P.Y (Special Needs Activities and Play Provision for York) is a charity that provides social and recreational opportunities for children and young people with special needs aged 5-25 in the York area.

 

 

Mission Statement

 

'SNAPPY seeks to maximise the personal development and provide good quality play and recreational opportunities for children and young people with special needs in York'

 

SNAPPY is managed by a voluntary management Committee of Trustees, the role of the trustees is to oversee the work and organisation of SNAPPY.

 

 

SNAPPY schemes include:

 

 

Saturday SNAPPY 

This scheme provides a place for children and young people aged 5-19 to learn and develop through a range of play activities in a sfae and secure environment, meet up  with friends, hang out and also learn key life skills and gain valuable experiences. There are a range of activities as well as special trips out.

 

 

Senior SNAPPY

Is a youth group for young people aged 18-25 who take part in social nights and a selection of workshops and activities that incorporate life skills

 

 

Easter and Summer Scheme

 

These schemes run throughout the school holidays (monday to friday) for children and young people aged 5-19. Each day is filled with activities and trips out.
